David & Sarah's Wedding Weekend

This past weekend we celebrated David's 30th birthday, my 27th birthday, Thanksgiving and David and Sarah's wedding.  It was a full week of events and I'm exhausted now.  It was so great to see family and friends at the wedding.  I got some wonderful birthday gifts from family, friends and my lovely husband!

A Christmas Affair

The Junior League of Austin puts on A Christmas Affair every year during this time.  Annette has been for the past few years and this year me and my mom joined her.  It was a huge event where a ton of boutiques/vendors come and set up a booth.  They have super cute stuff there.  Liam made out with some very cute camo stuff!  

We also went to Babies R Us and registered for a bunch of necessities for Liam.  It was a lot of fun and I learned so much about what all babies need.

Prayers that our house will sell soon

So our house has been on the market in Weatherford for about 5 months and we have not had an offer yet.  We are waiting to buy a house here in San Angelo until we sell ours in Weatherford.  We were trying to sell it by owner for the first 4 months and we just recently hired a realtor.  We have had 2 showings since we hired her.  Jamin and I are just praying that we sell it soon so we can get a house here and start the nursery for baby Liam.  Thanks for your prayers that we will sell soon!!

 

Jagger's new favorite place to lay...

Megan gave us her camo car seat cover for Liam and we love it!  Jagger also loves it and he won't lay anywhere else.  Maybe he knows the car seat cover is for Liam and that's why he wants to lay on it all the time.

Baby Liam kicking in my belly!

I videoed my belly as Liam was kicking me last night.  You have to really look, but you can see his kicks on the left side towards my pants.  Jamin also got to feel him kick a lot last night for the first time and he was so excited!!

Bedding Decision - Help!

Jamin has entrusted me and my taste to pick out Liam's baby bedding and I'm so happy because I love doing this kind of stuff!  So I have found two choices that I really like.  I want bedding that has some of that minky fabric which both of these choices do.  It is super soft for him to sleep on.  I have added a poll to our blog so you can vote for which one you like the best.  Thanks for your help!

Finally Feeling Movement!!

Halloween night I finally started feeling Liam moving around and even little kicks.  Since then, they have gotten more frequent and stronger.  When I eat or drink something sweet (like Cran-Grape juice) it really gets him moving.  He was moving so much the other night that I could even feel him on the outside of my belly!  I was at my Junior League meeting tonight and he was kicking through the whole meeting.  I think he knew he was in a room with 28 girls! :)  I LOVE feeling him move around and kick me.  It is an amazing feeling!

Aggie Football!

This past weekend was a fun weekend in College Station!  We went to the A&M/Tech game and watched the Aggies beat Tech 45-27!  We had great seats and even did a little shopping for Liam!  He got his first maroon Aggie t-shirt and a onsie.  Hopefully, the Aggies can play like they did against Tech for the 4 games that are left and end the season with a good record!  We shall see.

Team Blue!!

We had our anatomy scan this morning and we're having a baby boy!!  We couldn't be more happy about it.  Jamin is ready to start coaching his little league team.  His name will be Liam Alan Burke.  Liam means Protector or Warrior.  It's also derived from William which is special because Jamin's father's name was William Alan Burke.

Even better news was that our baby boy is healthy and is measuring perfectly!  He weighs about 7 oz. and is the size of a mango.

We are going to the A&M/Tech game this weekend so we will definitely be buying a little Aggie outfit for him!

Sick :(

So I thought it was just allergies, however it has turned into a sinus infection or something. I didn't really want to take any antibiotics if I didn't need to, but when I called our OB they told me I sounded awful and they would call me in some meds. So I'm taking Amoxicillin. I already feel better, but I still sound horrible and can't really breathe. Hopefully, I will get over this soon!

On a positive note 6 more days til we find out if Baby Burke is a Boy or a Girl!

Baby Burke Update

Well, we are starting our 17th week of pregnancy and so far so good. My morning sickness is gone. I crave sweets and kid cereal all the time.  Favorite at the moment is Lucky Charms. Chunks of chicken really gross me out.

The last appointment we had we got to hear the heartbeat and it was really amazing. The nurse found it right away and the heart rate was 152 bpm.

There are so many wives tales out there that claim to be able to predict the gender of the baby. I'm not sure I believe any of them, but they are fun to do anyway. We also did an Intelligender test. Right now, I think we are about half and half which is the best you can be when it comes to boy or girl. So we will have to wait and see.

Intelligender = Boy

Chinese Gender Calendar = Girl

Pencil Test/Ring Test = Boy

Heart Rate = Girl

We get to have our gender sonogram in 8 more days!!  Hopefully Baby Burke will show us their baby parts and not be shy!
